Srinagar, Gulmarg, Sonmarg and Pahalgam
Srinagar and Dal Lake · Gulmarg · Sonmarg

4 days, 3 nights
A long spring weekend when the valley turns from brown to bloom
The trip
A short trip timed for the few weeks in spring when the almond blossom and then the tulip garden on the edge of Srinagar are open. You stay on the lake, spend a morning among the tulips before the crowds, and fill the rest with the gardens, the old city, and a day in the hills.
Best for. A first taste of Kashmir in spring, or a short trip built around the tulip garden and the blossom.
Day by day
A working outline. We move nights around, add or drop a day, and adjust for weather once we know your dates.
Airport pick-up and a slow afternoon on the lake, with a shikara ride toward sunset.
Be at the tulip garden when it opens, then Badamwari for the blossom if it is out, and the old city in the afternoon.
Up to Gulmarg for the meadow and the gondola, with snow still on the higher slopes in early spring, and back to the lake in the evening.
The Mughal gardens in the cool of the morning, then the airport.

It varies with the winter. Most years it is early to mid April, for two to three weeks, and the opening is confirmed only days before. Book a flexible trip and we will time your garden morning to the bloom.
It is a quieter, cheaper time with the blossom and tulips as the draw. The trade-off is that Sonmarg and Gurez are still shut and Pahalgam is cold. If you want everything open, come from mid May.
