How booking a trip works
Draft for review. Payment terms, advance amounts and cancellation windows below are placeholders and must be set by the business.
Enquiries and quotes
Enquiring costs nothing and commits you to nothing. We send an itinerary and a price. Prices hold for a stated period and can move with the season, availability and exchange rates until you confirm.
Confirming a trip
A trip is confirmed when you accept the itinerary in writing and pay the advance. The advance is a placeholder figure, for example 25 percent of the trip cost, with the balance due a set number of days before arrival.
Cancellation by you
Placeholder schedule, to be confirmed: cancellations more than 30 days before arrival lose the advance; between 30 and 15 days, 50 percent of the trip cost; inside 15 days, the full cost. We will always pass on any refunds we can recover from hotels and transport.
Changes and events outside our control
Roads and passes in Kashmir close for weather, and the gondola and other services can shut at short notice. Where this affects your trip we reshape the itinerary at no extra cost. Costs charged by third parties for forced changes are passed on at cost.
Insurance
Travel insurance covering cancellation, medical care and evacuation is your responsibility and we strongly recommend it for any trip into the mountains.
